The Cat's Pyjamas!

I like art. I like a licenced bar. I love free-to-get-in stuff.

Which is why I am so grateful to The Londoneer for bringing The Cat's Pyjamas to my attention. It's a late opening of the Guildhall Art Gallery, celebrating all that was wild and wonderful about the roaring 20s.

It's part of their new exhibition The Age Of Elegance, and promises such treats as a Jeeves and Wooster cabaret and the world's smallest big band. Sounds just about the level of sanity I usually operate at, then. Plus of course the bar, for it is after all a Friday night (Friday 24th February).

The exhibition itself sounds really interesting, showing not only art from 1890-1930, but modern responses through contemporary arts and craft. Which of course, I will be perusing right up until oooh, my third cocktail. When I will becoming involved in a hilariously complex comedy of manners which only Stephen Fry will be able to rescue me from before my overbearing aunt finds out. If you think that's a joke for effect, you haven't met my husband.
