Vintage Brighton recently sent me this amazing interview with Barbara Hulanicki, founder of Biba. As you can imagine, given my tastes in vintage, I couldn't wait to watch! Barbara trained in Brighton and returns here to reminisce about her inspiring times here.
There are some fabulous moments about how Brighton has changed, being an independent woman, family life and guiltless fashion...
The video was created by Visit Brighton
to celebrate the upcoming Barbara Hulanicki exhibition, 'Biba And Beyond'. You can be that I shall be going and shall blog my experiences too.
Can't wait to see the exhibition! The videos Visit Brighton released with Barbara are amazing, makes me adore her even more xxx

ReplyDeleteI found an original Biba dress in a charity shop last week, going to that exhibition would be a perfect first outing for it! x
ReplyDeleteThis is brilliant, I love Biba! I've always been interested in her ever since we studied her for the 60's in A-level history! xxx
ReplyDeleteWould consider a trip to Brighton for that! I love original Biba, I think it's a shame that the relaunched line is a bit average and overpriced though :/ xxx
