Pleat Treat
I bought this handbag at a Church fete a couple of weeks ago, from the knitting stall. My friend snagged a sensible chocolate brown one with a tortoiseshell style handle but my £4 went on this beauty. My sister's first words upon seeing it were "That is so wrong. It looks like a merkin."

You'd Be Surprised How Much It Costs To Look This Cheap
Nah, it doesn't cost very much at all. As several lovely bloggettes have been posting about their 'top 10 make up and beauty faves' I thought I would give it a go. Mostly because my life is a tragic mire of spreadsheets, house hunting and so forth right now and I can't find any 'pursuits' interesting enough to blog about (I.e. content would read approximately "Vintage fans, did you know that pre-computer, spreadsheets were often called 'ledgers' and the adding up was done on a calculator the size of Belgium..?').
So I give you my (current) top 10 beauty bargains. All of them are dirt cheap, because I'm worth it ('it' being the wine, cakes and tat I buy with the money I save on beauty products):

Bear with me a week or so...
Please excuse the temporary hiatus in budget lifestyle inanity. Perdita is currently stupendously busy both at work and home. Which is tricky if you are a princess of very little brain…
I enclose herein some 'LOLCats' as both a gesture of my sincere apologies and as a visual representation of my current state of mind:

What The Hell Am I Doing, Drinking in...
Chiswick? Way less cool than the eponymous song of the 90s, and quite expensive to boot. We're meant to be saving to join the ranks of the 'first time buyers' (not in Chiswick, though, where we could afford a shoebox. In the middle of the road,. With a hole in it). Erk. Imprudent Perdita. To be fair, I have been good of late. In order to further preserve pennies I have avoided high-street and designer (outlets, natch) shops for a while and stuck to charity shops and ebay.
However my wardrobe is still bulging and my clothesrail has collapsed for the umpteenth time. I fear I may have a bargain addiction. Here is one of my recent splurges, plus a little cocktail review...

Shocking Bad Taste (Outfit Post).
Look away if you have any kind of good taste. I am having a strange, Hello Kitty fuelled day and am in my 'walk a few paces in front so no one knows we're with her' garb. I love to wear terrible, OTT, odd and kawaii outfits sometimes.
Here's the evidence for the prosecution:
