Wordle of The Month

Just for a bit of fun, I've wordle-ised my blog this month. Click the image below to see it!

Wordle: Perdita's Pursuits

It seems I've quite fascinated by FOUNDATION right now, ha ha! Wordle is a great tool for creating patterns, but is also useful for spotting over-used vocabulary (FOUNDATION, anyone?) in a document or blog. Try it here.

A Blogger's Plea...

I like comments. I like comments that challenge my point of view and stimulate debate. But, unless within a ribald joke or with a cheeky smile, I don't like swearing ... and I don't like to see a snide rant within comment threads. Especially, especially when the ranter hasn't read the rantee's post fully. It's not only rude, it's ignorant.

New Look (With thanks...)

How do you like my new blog look?

Having not changed much since before blogger made adjustments to its interface, I had some trouble finding various widgits...however all is now well. Thanks so much to RetroChick, Crinoline Robot, @Chimpmansworth and Southern Retro. Thank you kindly dear fellow online persons!

A Thrifty Mrs posted a fantastic set of instructions on creating a new header. I do recommend you check them out if you want a new and unique look for your blog.

Soap And Glory 'Show Good Face' Review

Warning: this post contains a picture of me without any make up on.

When I found out via The Vintage Mafia and Retrochick that Soap and Glory had started to produce cosmetics, I was super excited. I have always rated their bath and beauty products as straddling perfectly the good value/high performance divide, not to mention the kitsch and comic packaging.

Ouchy

Mr Bump was my favourite Mr Man; it must be empathy. I was going to sally forth and do some shopping and pub reviewing today, but I have been laid low by my own stupidity. Instead I shall post about my misadventures and give you a couple of recent accessory moments I actually remembered to snap.

Norwich Cafe Reviews

Saturday of our Norwich weekend, we spent the daytime happily wandering the charity shops and thrift markets. It really is a great little city for shopping, whether 'mainstream' in the mall, 'boutique' in the Royal Arcade and St Benedicts or - as I did in the main - 'thrifty' in the many well-stocked chazzas and of course the famous market.

Marvellous Cocktails!

What, cocktails again? I know, it's a burden because usually I am abstenious at all times. In my defence, these were marvellous cocktails, at the Vintage Norwich Marvellous Cocktail Party. I was up in the Fine City for another weekend, and we kicked this one off in style...

Retrochick, glamorous as ever.
